Grouping rows or columns

You can arrange the rows or columns in a group. You can also ungroup them at any time.

Steps

To set data as a group

  1. Select some cells that you want to arrange in a group.
  2. Select Data > Group/Outline > Group.
  3. Select Row and click the OK button in the Group dialog box.
  4. Click the [-] icon to hide data in a group.
    The [-] icon changes to the [+] icon when the data in a group collapses.

Ungroup data

  1. Select one or some cells in a group that you want to ungroup.
  2. Select Data > Group/Outline > Ungroup.
  3. Select Row and click the OK button in the Group dialog box.
