Set the print area for your spreadsheet

To print only part of a worksheet click Page Layout > Print Area > Set Print Area. To cancel the print area click Page Layout > Print Area > Clear Print Area.

Steps

To set print area

  1. In a worksheet, select cells as a block you want to print.
  2. Click Page Layout > Print Area > Set Print Area.
    Or from the Page Layout tab, select Set Print Area under the Print Area menu.
  3. When the print area in the worksheet is marked by dots, click File > Print.
  4. Only the print area will be printed.

To cancel print area

  1. Click Page Layout > Print Area > Clear Print Area in a document with a print area.
    Or from the Page Layout tab, select Clear Print Area under the Print Area menu.
  2. The dots will not be displayed from the worksheet and the print area will be cancelled.

To add print area

  1. In a worksheet, select cells as a block you want to print.
  2. Click Page Layout > Print Area > Set Print Area.
    Or from the Page Layout tab, select Set Print Area under the Print Area menu.
  3. Select cells you want to set another block of the print area.
  4. Click Page Layout > Print Area > Add Print Area.
    Or from the Page Layout tab, select Add Print Area under the Print Area menu.
  5. Click File > Preview to view the print areas and then click File > Print.
